The Planning Department provides guidance relative to current and long-range planning in the City, assists with implementation of the goals, policies, and programs for development of the City as established by the General Plan, and oversees compliance with state and local regulations, including but not limited to the General Plan, Zoning Code, Subdivision Ordinance, and California Environmental Quality Act. Planning services, such as assistance with applications for land use development, use permits, variances, subdivisions, lot line adjustments, etc., are available through the planning department.
